Antislip Rating: ?There are two main slip testing methods referred to in the NZ Building code. The most common is called a pendulum test which offers a scale from P0 - P5 that reflects the likelihood of slipping. P0 is very high risk through to P5 which is very low risk. The second is called a ramp test which is prominent from European suppliers. The ramp test has a similar scale from R9 through to R13 - the higher the number the higher the slip resistance. For most external applications a P4 or R10 is recommended, although sloping or swimming pool surrounds may require R11.
